The ring you gave me when you proposed, she answered. Do you remember when you saw it last? Yes Ralph, it was last night here at home, when Peggy asked to look at it, and I took it of. Then Ann wanted to see it, and asked what a ring like this would cost. But I'm sure she gave it back. If the ring may have fallen down the sewer, I will take the pipes apart tonight, and check. Don't use that bathroom today. Some time later when Ralph together with several police officers where to apprehend a felon, George Hunt from North Street, Ralph among the stolen items they found in Georges home, found Sylvia's ring. He phoned up and told her the good news. But, he couldn't take it home as it was part of the merchandise taken from George. Lying as evidence at the station, it was removed by the cleaning crew. The fence Ray Brown contacted a bigger fence and offered Sylvia's ring together with six other rings to Ron Black that bought them from Ray Brown for a large sum. Then when Sylvia had been out to the mall, and was on the way home with some Chinese food the police had closed of part of her street, and Sylvia had to stay with a neighbor lady.
